Overview
Compact Design
The scanner has a compact of 300 (W) x 336 (H) x 235 (D) when the document feed is open. The newly designed feed mechanism saves space by eliminating the need for space to eject the paper at the front of the scanner.
Fast Document Feeding
Documents can be scanned at a speed of up to 25 pages per minute (when scanning one-sided or two-sided documents of A4 size at 200dpi).
Two Eject Paths for Scanning a Variety of Documents
Use the U-turn path to scan paper of standard thickness, or use the straight path to scan cards and other thick documents.
Supports a Variety of Scanning Modes
The scanner supports the following scanning modes, depending on the document type:
- Single-sided or double-sided scanning (with Skip Blank Page function)
- Continuous or single sheet feed
Card Scan
Ability to scan business cards and ID cards.
Paper Size Detection
The scanner automatically detects the size of a scanned document and eliminates any unnecessary space around the edges of the image when storing the image, even when storing a document of irregular size.
Auto Colour Detection
The scanner can automatically determine whether to save scanned images in colour based on the contents of the document. This eliminates the need to separate documents that contain both colour and monochrome pages before scanning.
Skip Blank Page
When scanning one-sided and two-sided documents at the same time, you can delete images of blank pages to produce scanned images without redundancy. This function is also effective with coloured-paper documents that are blank.
Text Orientation Detection
When scanning document sheets of varying text orientations, the text can be detected and rotated to the correct orientation automatically in the scanned images, thereby removing the hassle of rotating them manually.
Deskew
Images of documents scanned at an angle can be straightened before they are saved, thereby eliminating the need for rescans and ensuring smooth, continuous scanning.
Full Auto Mode
A Full Auto Mode is available with the colour mode, page size, resolution, and text orientation automatically determined based on the contents of the document. This mode allows you to scan documents that contain pages of varying type under conditions that best suit each type. The mode also includes the Skip Blank Page function for efficient
scanning of only the necessary pages.
Text Orientation Detection
When scanning document sheets of varying text orientations, the text can be detected and rotated to the correct orientation automatically in the scanned images, thereby removing the hassle of rotating them manually.
Ultrasonic Double Feed Detection
The built-in ultrasonic sensor accurately detects when more than one sheet is fed simultaneously and can prevent important information from being left out.
Auto Start
The scanner is equipped with an auto start function, which enables scanning to be automatically started when a document placed in the feeder is detected.
Sleep Mode
The scanner is designed to save energy by entering the sleep mode when it is not scanning documents.
