Simple All-In-One Solution
The AirMax5 comes with almost everything you need to build 5GHz outdoor connection instantly. The CPE enclosure is built with high grade anti-UV materials for protection from prolonged sunshine and rain. It includes an integrated 14dBi 5GHz antenna with horizontal, vertical, or diversity polarization. The internal PCBA slides out for easy maintenance. To speed up your installation process, there is also a 4-level LED to assist you with Antenna alignment. The built-in advanced passive Power Over Ethernet will let your AirMax5 operate up to 100 meter distance from power source.
20 Kilometers Distance or More
With the integrated directional antenna and high performance 108Mbps Atheros 11a radio, the AirMax5 can reach the distance of 20 kilometer using the built-in antenna. If you need more distance, simply connect a hi-gain external antenna to the R-SMA port. You can choose the CPE to use Vertical, Horizontal, or external antennas from the web interface. It really is that versatile and simple.
Maximum Performance
Despite of its compact size, the AirMax5 is packed with full performance hardware and software. With the Atheros Super-A and Turbo-A mode, it can easily double the throughput of standard 11a mode. The 23dBm output power at PCBA means stronger signal than competitions. The double sized memory capacity allows the AirMax5 firmware to include features available previously only in high end products.
Multiple Operation Mode
The AirMax can function as an AP, Client, Bridge, WISP Router or AP Router. Therefore, you can instantly transform the CPE to different wireless applications. With the new AirLogic interface, the web configuration is much more user friendly than before. You simply start by selecting a wireless mode, the AirMax5 will display only options available in that wireless mode. No more guessing and experimenting.
Secured Management Interface
In addition to standard Web and Telnet management, the AirMax5 also features secured management interface including HTTPS and SSH2. It is now much safer for service provider for remote management. In addition, the AirMax5 provides full SNMP v1/v2 support.
Bandwidth Management
The AirMax5 provides the capability to control total connection or per user's bandwidth. Therefore,
the WISP operators can offer different class of connection speeds for different subscription fees – just
like the ADSL service!
Double Mounting System
The AirMax5 is designed to be mounted using the included plastic straps for easy installation. If you require wall mounting or more rigid mounting, you can purchase the optional Metal Wall Mount/Pole Mount Kit. It will allow installer to adjust the tiling angle for more precise antenna alignment.
Multiple SSID, VLAN, & WMM
AirMax5 provides Multi-SSID to create different wireless networks using one single AP. The TAG VLAN feature allows service provider to control service content of each SSID network all the way back to core router. The QoS feature allows prioritizing the different package according the 802.11e WMM protocol and triple play (Voice, Video and Data).
