What is USB 2.0?
USB specification 2.0 (or USB Hi-Speed) is the next generation peripheral connection for personal computers. It is intended as an upgrade for USB 1.1. What are the advantages of USB 2.0?
USB 2.0 is 40 times faster than USB 1.1, broadening the range of external peripherals that can be used on a computer. The new specification also inherits USB's plug and play and hot-swapping capabilities as well as providing backward compatibility for USB 1.1 hardware, allowing existing users to upgrade seamlessly.
